Space Computer Corporation provides comprehensive training for all our products. Our training programs are not off-the-shelf, one-size-fits-all slide shows--they are customized courses that are designed, developed and presented to provide trainees with the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need to effectively and efficiently perform system tasks in the actual task environment. Our training courses are presented by experienced, qualified instructors.
SCC’s training programs are created using the Systematic Approach to Training model (also known as the Instructional Systems Design [ISD] model). The SAT model is a rigorous, methodic process that ensures training is well-focused, technically valid, and thorough. It has been adopted by the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of Energy, the Insitute for Nuclear Power Operations, and many, many other organizations. See the table at right for a brief summary of the SAT process.
SCC also offers a wide range of training outsourcing services. Our experienced training professionals can provide full-scope training program design and development, assist your current training staff with program needs, and evaluate training programs to identify where and how the programs can be improved to lead to better job performance.

The SAT Process in a Nutshell…
| The SAT process consists of five sequential phases. The Evaluation phase gathers field performance information and uses it as inputs to the other phases to continuously improve the training program. |
Analysis
Determine the desired training outcomes what must the trainee know and be able to do?
Design
Specify measurable behaviors (learning objectives) that, when exhibited, clearly indicate mastery of the desired training outcomes. Specify minimum acceptable performance levels for these behaviors. Group and sequence them, and identify the best training settings (classroom, hands-on, field) for each group.
Development
Write instructor guides and trainee manuals for the lessons that make up a course. Write evaluation (test) items for the learning objectives addressed in each training setting.
Implementation
Conduct the training in the specified sequence and in the specified settings. Evaluate the trainees on mastery of the learning objectives (the measurable behaviors).
Evaluation
Evaluate training program effectiveness are the trainees able to perform the tasks for which they were trained? Use what is learned in this phase as input in other phases to improve the training program.
